NURSERY
Our goal is for children to feel warmly welcomed, to hear the Good News of Jesus and to make new friends every time they are at SPEC. We want our nurseries and classes to be safe and caring places where even our littlest ones begin to sense the love of Jesus through our teachers and caregivers. The nursery is open for all newborn children through age 4.
WE ARE OPEN ON:
Sunday Morning - The SPEC Nursery is located in Shelton Hall and is open every Sunday from 9am to 12:15pm.
Wednesday Evening - We are open on Wednesday Evenings following Family Dinner from 6-7:15pm.
WE SEEK TO PROVIDE YOUR CHILDREN WITH:
A CARING PLACE
The Nursery is staffed by two qualified childcare ladies who remain with our children for the entire morning. Many of the ladies are long-time employees who have developed relationships with our children and families and provide familiar, friendly faces as they nurture them from week to week.
A HEALTHY PLACE
Individual cubbies hold diaper bags and bottles/sippy cups. The caregivers clean all of the toys after each use and make sure that a toy does not pass from one child to another before it is washed. If a child shows signs of sickness, the parents are notified.
A SAFE PLACE
Parents check all children in at the front door in Shelton Hall. Please note all parents’ cell numbers and inform us of any known allergies.
A CHRISTIAN PLACE
Our nursery workers are here to provide your children with the level of love and care that Christ has first shared with us.
The Nurseries are opened fifteen minutes before our Sunday services and Wednesday evening formation hour. Parents, not siblings, are asked to pick up their children within a reasonable time after the conclusion of the worship service.
