Music Ministry
St. Peter's views sacred music as an integral part of worship.This idea is reinforced by the variety, quality, and commitment to music in the liturgy. We utilize music throughout worship to foster spiritual understanding and growth of our church family.
The St. Peter's Chancel Choir sings most Sundays at the 11:15 a.m. traditional Eucharist. This group meets every Thursday evening from 5:30-6:30 PM in the choir room (Shelton Hall). The choir leads congregational singing of the service music and hymns, choral anthems, and also prepares special seasonal music. Comprised of volunteers with varying levels of ability, we set high standards and goals for our group. Occasionally, we also enjoy guest instrumentalists in worship.
The St. Peter's Praise Team plays music at the 9:15 a.m. family Eucharist. Made up of a small group of vocalists and instrumentalists, this group meets on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am to practice before the service.
